Sing Along for The Spire!

A Sing Along for The Spire!
Sunday February 4, 2:00 pm

The Spire, Sydenham St United Church

Join Mark Sirett, AD of the Cantabile Choirs of Kingston, David Melhorn-Boe, choir director at Chalmers and Sydenham St United Churches, soprano Kathryn McConnell and other special guests in a lighthearted afternoon of singing. At what has now become a popular annual event, Kingston music-lovers of all ages are invited to sing their hearts out for a good cause. Coming together with friends and family to sing and have fun at informal and unstructured gatherings used to be a common occurrence. “Sing Alongs” may not be as common now, but if you miss the experience of community singing, here’s your chance!  Sing along with folk songs, popular tunes, broadway show stoppers…and you don’t even know the words, as everything will be projected in big bold print to make it easy to join in.

Admission is free. Donations in support of The Spire and its ongoing renovations will be gratefully accepted. Hope to see – and hear – you at The Spire, Sydenham St Church, Sunday Feb 4.

What is The Spire? For more than 160 years the historic church at 82 Sydenham St. has been a notable Kingston landmark. Now known as The Spire, it is now becoming a community hub, supporting a wide constituency of groups. Learn more at
