CALL FOR BOARD DIRECTORS

POSITION:  Board Director

TYPE: Volunteer/Non-remunerated

Cantabile Choirs is seeking dynamic individuals from the local and/or Cantabile community to join our Board of Directors and play a critical role in shaping the future of Cantabile and broadening its impact in the Kingston and arts community as a whole. While most Board Directors are based locally, persons living outside of the region with strong connections to Cantabile (such as alumni) are still encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities of Board Directors

Cantabile’s Board of Directors is a volunteer board. Board members are expected to:

• Attend quarterly Board meetings (~90 mins) remotely via Zoom
• Sit on at least one sub committee (Governance/HR, Fundraising, Finance)
• Attend Cantabile events
• Serve a two-year term (which can be renewed twice, to a maximum of six years)

Ideal candidates will help develop and implement strategies that will generate revenue, attract new supporters, expand our community reach and impact, ensure the financial health of the organization.
