Our Choirs & Music Education Programs
Cantabile is one of the largest choral organizations in the country. We’re proud to offer a wide variety of programs for singers of all ages, with a robust bursary program to help out families in need.
PICCOLO (ages 6-7)
Rehearsals:
PICCOLO A: Tuesdays, 4:00-4:45pm
PICCOLO B: Tuesdays, 5:00-5:45pm
Dates: September 24 – May 11
Annual Membership Fee: $325 (+ HST)
Location: Lower Hall, The Spire
Features: Piccolo is an introductory music program that guides young children through the fundamentals of music and singing. This program focuses on active engagement and multi-sensory creative activities.
MEDIO (ages 8-9)
Rehearsals: Fridays, 4:00-5:00pm
Dates: September 27 – May 11

Annual Membership Fee: $360 (+HST)
Location: Upper Hall, The Spire
Features: Medio is a preparatory program that continues to build musical and vocal skills while introducing children to a number of performance opportunities and local outreach activities.
GRANDE (ages 10-12)
Rehearsals: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00pm

Location: Upper Hall, The Spire
Features: Grande is an advanced children’s choir that maintains an active performing schedule throughout the year. Singers are introduced to the thrill of live public performance, while receiving high-quality instruction.
YOUTH SINGERS (ages 13-17)
Rehearsals: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00-5:30pm

Location: Upper Hall, The Spire
Features: The Cantabile Youth Singers are an award-winning intermediate/advanced ensemble. The acclaimed choir maintains an active performance schedule throughout the season, competes and often tours on national and international stages.
CORO PROFONDO (tenors/basses, adults)
Rehearsal: Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00pm
Dates: September 4 – June 7

Annual Membership Fee: $525 (+HST)
Location: Upper Hall, The Spire
Features: Coro Profondo is an advanced tenor/bass ensemble for adults. The choir maintains an active performance schedule throughout the season, and (in normal years) offers opportunities for travel both nationally and internationally. Coro Profondo often combines with Coro Spirito to form an SATB ensemble.
CORO SPIRITO (sopranos/altos, adults)
Rehearsal: Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00pm
Dates: September 4 – June 7

Features: Coro Spirito is an advanced soprano/alto ensemble for adults. The choir maintains an active performance schedule throughout the season, and (in normal years) offers opportunities for travel both nationally and internationally. Coro Profondo often combines with Coro Spirito to form an SATB ensemble.
