NEW: Parent & Tot Music

We’re so excited to launch a new pilot project this year, offering early childhood music education programming for young children and their grownups! After a very successful first session, we’re offering our second session (January 9 – March 6) on Mondays from 9:30-10:15 am. This 8-week program is designed for babies, toddlers, preschoolers. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Parent & Tot Music gives young children (0-4 years old) a creative, fun, and interactive introduction to music education. Building on the foundational concepts of researched-based methods such as Kodaly, Orff, and Kindermusik, Parent & Tot Music is designed to foster love and appreciation of music for the youngest ones… and keep the grownups learning too! Sing, explore and create with a variety of familiar and new songs, actions, dance, games, and pre-literacy activities.

Meet Your Instructor

Larissa Koniuk has decades of training and experience as a music educator, performer, and as Artistic Director of an innovative indie opera company called The Bicycle Opera Project.

A mom with two young children, Larissa developed a new early childhood music program that draws inspiration and methodology from a number of well-known, research-based music programs for children. She pairs these concepts with her own philosophy and pedagogy, developed over 12 years of private voice and piano teaching in Toronto.

Larissa holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Wilfred Laurier, Level-3 Kindermusik training, and is a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association (ORMTA).
